Latest Photos Of My Hanging Tomato Plants

Hanging tomato plants about three weeks ago
It's been awhile since I posted any recent photos of my hanging tomato plants. These are the ones that I described making earlier using empty cat litter buckets.

I almost lost them all due to over-watering even though Topsy-Turvy instructions claim that you can't over water them due to the fact that excess water merely drains out the bottom. I had plenty of water running out the bottom, yet my moisture meter indicated they were way too wet and pegged the needle. After leaving them as is for about three weeks, I finally started watering them again when they started 'talking' to me with their appearance.

My neighbor had a couple of casualties with the buckets she used with plastic handles. Both times, the plastic broke and the pepper plants luckily survived since the bucket landed on a corner and didn't ruin the plant. Now, she has heavy electrical wire supporting the buckets and large red peppers developing.
Hanging tomato plants are touching the ground now
I've included a photo that I took about three weeks ago and one from this weekend. As you can see, the plants, even though they are at least five feet off the ground, are touching my grass. They remind me of little weight lifters, always trying to turn upward and lift the weight of the tomatoes and leaves.
