Below 40 degrees in June! Who Would Have Thought It!

Who would have thought that the temperatures in the Chicagoland area would drop into the 30's in June!

My neighbor, Carol, asked me if I wanted any blankets to cover my hanging planters and then suggested using plastic bags. Even though we may not get an actual frost I was concerned because the small plants have so much moisture on the leaves compared to those planted in the ground.

So, after talking to her, I put on a jacket and went out and covered my planters. I thought you might get a kick out of seeing them with the tall kitchen bags tied up around them. It may not have been necessary but why take chances when so much time went into making the planters and getting them completed and hung.
